Q. Should I be concerned about buying my wedding dress over the internet?

A. Yes and no. Only trust reputable online wedding dress makers who show their own work. Brides who buy from overseas websites that use stolen designer dress images, at unbelievably low prices, usually end up in tears. If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.

Q. When can I expect my dress to arrive?

A. The production time on our 'made to order' dresses is 4-6 weeks plus delivery time and 6-8 weeks for custom gowns that require a new pattern to be drafted. We recommend ordering 4-6 months before your wedding day to ensure your wedding dress arrives at least 1-2 months ahead of time.

Q. What about shipping?

A. We charge a flat rate of AUD50 for standard shipping (7-10 days) and AUD100 for express courier shipping (3-5 days) for one wedding dress. The shipping fees will be higher for package orders of more than one dress. A signature will be required upon delivery. If no-one is home, the driver will leave a card in your letterbox which you can take the following day to the post office. Our packages are never left unattended on your doorstep.

Q. What happens if my items arrive damaged?

A. Damage happens rarely due to the way we flatpack our gowns before shipping. In the unlikely event that your item is damaged, please take photos of the damage and email them to us within 48 hours of receipt. Our customer service staff will assist you with repair/replacement/refund depending on the nature of the damage.

Q. If I want to make slight changes to your designs, is there an extra fee?

A. We are more than happy to make slight changes to the features of a wedding dress, which usually occur at no charge, eg. change a square neckline to a sweetheart. Added beading or sleeves/straps and design changes will most likely incur an extra charge.

Q. I am a larger bride being size 20+. Do you make plus size wedding dresses?

A. Yes, we do make plus size wedding dresses. We prefer that plus size brides choose a dress style that is designed specifically to suit plus size figures. Many regular designs do not translate well to plus size figures. Please contact us for assistance with style selection.

Q. Do I need a PayPal account to order from Wedding Dress Express?

A. No. We accept major credit cards direct via the online shopping cart, as well as Paypal.

Q. Do you have Layby?

A. Yes, we offer a Layby service for up to 4 months. When the Layby is completed, the wedding dress will be processed into production. Please refer to the Layby page for further details or contact our Customer Service staff.

Q. Is there anywhere I can try the dresses on?

A. We operate purely on an online basis, and do not operate a physical shop for fittings and consultations. We recommend our brides try some dresses on to find out what styles look good on. This way, you can shop online with a lot more confidence already knowing what looks good on.

Q. What about exchanges, replacements and refunds?

A. Yes, we offer exchanges, replacements and refunds depending on the nature of the issue. However, problems are rare due to our high quality control procedures, photo service, and attention to accurate measurements. Please refer to our Purchase Policy for full details.
